Corrado
Vittorio Battistoni was born in Perugia in 1984, where he
studied and earned a high school diploma from the "Pietro
Vannucci" Linguistic High School. He subsequently attended the Faculty of
Architecture at the University of Florence.
In Umbria, he then dedicated himself to
learning graphic techniques, particularly lithography and
drypoint, at the "Grifani Donati" Laboratory Museum of
Graphic Arts and Typography in Città di Castello, where he
encountered the vibrant artistic scene that would positively
impact him.
At the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, he
continued his education and trained as an engraver,
specializing in lithography. He also attended courses in the Scuola Libera
del Nude (Free School of Nude Art). He created and printed several works at the
historic "Bulla" printing house in Rome. Following a strong
instinctive attraction, he experimented with painting, which
deeply captivated him, and continued his graphic work
alongside his new approach to painting.
"The same ancient gestures and signs give us
today's art. The artistic experience becomes the possibility
of design: material, technique, and spirit project
themselves forward into infinite possible solutions. The
possible is the new layer of contemporary culture. The
creative act concentrates speed, precision, visibility,
intuition, place and non-place, order and chaos, noise and
sound, nature and artifice, birth and death, revolution and
peace. The act of painting transcends natural time and the
human condition itself. A decade. A seed of new life, of a
metaphysical, incalculable time, perceptible only to those
curious about the mysteries that populate its creation."
From 2011 to 2013, he exhibited at various
cultural centers in the capital. He collaborated with other young artists and
Academy colleagues, participating in a collective in Rome,
the province, and the city of Pesaro.
In 2012, he was selected by the Academy of
Fine Arts of Rome for an installation at the group
exhibition "SCART" on May 25, 2011, during the inauguration
of the new headquarters of the Academy of Fine Arts of Rome
"Campo Boario."

Critical
presentation by Dr. Mimmo Coletti.
Over time, the artist continues his graphic and pictorial
production with a particular predilection for mixed media and
experimental material elements. He therefore moves on multiple fronts and also
alternates and merges figurative research and non-serial, but
large-scale pictorial works where his physical and gestural
approach to color as an expressive and dynamic material is
transparent.
